Compensation

Compensation and Incentives

From salaries to stipends, from healthcare to childcare, we are making an investment in our educators and staff. We're ensuring that when you call AISD your home, you're well taken care of in and out of the classroom.

Compensation and Salary

We're exploring multiple options for a comprehensive compensation package for the 2024-25 school year that benefits our employees.

Philosophy and Support

Technology itself does not transform the learning; a transformative use of technology begins with transformative teaching practices. Technology becomes part of the teaching ecosystem, not an extra layer added to it.

A transformative use of technology means more than simply using technology for technology's sake, more than just passive content consumption or practicing skills on educational apps.

The transformative use of technology will help bring the Austin ISD Theory of Change to life.

Safety Tips

Students Riding a School Bus Should Always

  • Arrive at the bus stop five minutes early.
  • Stand at least 5 giant steps (10 feet) away from the edge of the road.
  • Wait until the bus stops, the door opens, and the driver says it’s okay before stepping onto the bus.
  • Be careful that clothing with drawstrings and book bags with straps or dangling objects do not get caught in the handrail or door when exiting the bus.
  • Check both ways for cars before stepping off the bus.

Become a Sub

Join the Austin ISD Team as a Substitute

Start changing the game for students on your own terms. We’re looking for dedicated educators who can adapt to fit the diverse and shifting needs of our students in both long-term and day-to-day roles. We offer:

  • Flexible work environments. You work on your schedule.
  • Hands-on experience and networking in some of the best schools in Austin, TX.
