Mission

The Austin ISD Facilities Maintenance Service Center is committed to providing exceptional customer service that contributes to a clean, safe, cost-effective, and instructionally supportive school environment that adheres to the school district’s mission of preparing every student with the knowledge and skills to thrive in college, career, and life.

Commitment and Purpose

The Service Center Staff takes responsive action to resolve immediate issues, and follows up to ensuring customer satisfaction. The Service Center contributes to student success through maintaining the learning environment. Our staff supports campus administration by ensuring that we do our best to take care of facility, maintenance, and custodial services so they can stay focused on student achievement. Our purpose is to manage requests, develop the appropriate course of action and then implement the action plan with a timeline to resolve the issue.

Louis Zachary

Executive Director of Facilities Maintenance

Louis has experience in business operations with a diverse technical background in equipment maintenance, building maintenance, supervision, purchasing, procurement and budgeting. Previously, he worked in the semiconductor industry for 25 years where he gained knowledge in areas such as manufacturing, equipment maintenance, supervision, as well as purchasing and procurement of maintenance parts for sites globally, developing long term service strategies and contracts with major suppliers before retiring as regional sourcing manager for Toppan Photomasks, which is located in Round Rock, Texas.

Jason Hawkins

Director of Facilities Maintenance

Jason has served AISD as the HVACR Foreman, in the building automation System controls department, as well as the building operations department. He brought previous experience as a M.E.P Supervisor, and Electrical Foreman. His educational background includes a BBA in management from Texas State University, as well as technical trades school for electronics.

Linda Coronado

Director of Custodial Operations

Linda has served as the Director of Custodial Operations within the department of Facilities Maintenance. She has over 36 years of experience in Texas School districts, and 32 years being with Austin ISD. Linda enjoys developing and providing training for new employees and supervisors encouraging many employees to reach their full potential. Linda supervises the Energy Management team and is responsible for overseeing all initiatives focused on energy and water conservation and efficiency and is working with the team to conduct facility inspections to share with campus administrators and staff with the focus on conserving energy and reducing utility costs. Linda continues to utilize her vast knowledge to better serve the students and staff of Austin ISD.
