Overview
Small Middle School houses the Green Tech Academy, reflecting the school's strong emphasis on environmental studies. Small has been designated by the National Wildlife Federation as the first Green Flag School in Texas. Learning takes place indoors and out in gardens and outdoor classrooms that surround the school. The school's focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Athletics, and Mathematics), helps develop 21st Century leaders.
La Escuela Secundaria Small alberga la Academia de Tecnología Verde, que refleja el gran énfasis de la escuela en los estudios ambientales. La Federación Nacional de Vida Silvestre ha designado a Small como la primera Escuela de Bandera Verde en Texas. El aprendizaje tiene lugar en el interior del edificio y afuera en jardines y aulas al aire libre que rodean la escuela. El enfoque de la escuela en STEAM (ciencias, tecnología, ingeniería, artes, deportes y matemáticas, según sus siglas en inglés) ayuda a crear líderes del siglo XXI.
