Building a long-lasting culture of sustainability requires buy-in and support from everyone: students, staff, and the community. The Environmental Stewardship Advisory Committee and the Austin ISD Green Team are the two primary organizations tasked with sustainability missions at the district. The Austin ISD Sustainability Coordinator supports both organizations and strives to implement their recommendations and ideas district-wide.

Environmental Stewardship Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public, and visitors are welcome. Public comments are heard at the beginning of each regular meeting.
