Toros To Host 2011 Dennis Johnson Memorial High School All-Star Games
The Austin Toros will host the 2011 Dennis Johnson Memorial High School All-Star Classic games on April 2 at Cedar Park Center. Feria Para Aprender (Education Fair)
Come join us for sixth annual Feria Para Aprender, a free Spanish-language education fair that will help you and your child learn to navigate the US educational system from elementary school through college. AISD's 'Two-Way' Dual Language Schools Expand to Six
The Austin School District has expanded — from four to six — the number of elementary schools that will offer its “Two-Way” Dual Language program beginning in Fall 2011. Sunset Valley and Travis Heights elementary schools will join Becker, Ridgetop, Perez, and Wooten elementaries in offering the program for students in Pre-Kindergarten through first grade.

The Austin School District invites the community to submit award nominations for citizens and organizations supportive of Latino students or services that enhance the academic achievement of Latino students. The Austin Independent School District's 2011 Winter Holiday schedule is as follows:The last day of class for AISD students is Tuesday, Dec.20.All schools and district offices will be closed beginning Thursday, Dec. 22, and reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012.Students return to school on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012.Emergencies should be reported to AISD Police at 414-1703.

Austin ISD will say thank you to its transportation employees during National School Bus Safety Week, October 17-21. This year’s theme is, “Be Aware – Know the Danger Zone!”Transportation employees will be recognized on Monday, October 17 at 6:00 a.m. at the Saegert terminal and on Tuesday, October 17 at 6:00 a.m. at the Nelson terminal. Refreshments will be provided for employees.
