Overview

John B. Winn Early College Preparatory opened 1970 and is named after the district’s first superintendent. The school serves approximately 360 students in Pre-K through fifth grade. Winn is an educational institution where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, and where ALL students will be begin their journeys in preparation for college, career, and life! The staff is committed to addressing the needs of the whole child, with fine arts, social and emotional learning, and other programs to enrich the standard curriculum. Winn offers full day Pre-K, one-way dual language and free Prime Time after-school programs. Families are encouraged to be involved in their child’s education, and many participate in Family Literacy and Mathematics nights.

Winn Early College Preparatory is part of the Reagan family of schools. As an early college high school, Reagan offers students the opportunity to earn college credit and graduate with a diploma in one hand and an associate degree from Austin Community College in the other.
