Overview

Blazier Elementary School, located in southeast Austin, is named after John C. Blazier, an active community member and ardent supporter of AISD. The original school site opened in 2007 and expanded into a second site in 2020 as part of the 2017 Bond Program. The original building now serves as the Primary Site for grades K-3 while the newly built Intermediate Site serves grades 4-6. This new build is the first phase of a strategic plan to provide additional capacity for the growing Blazier community and to expand Blazier Elementary to a Pre-K through 8th grade campus.

The Blazier community provides a unique opportunity for students to learn at all levels developing their individuality while building strong relationships and a sense of community. Blazier embraces the cultural assets that all students and families bring through authentic Social Emotional Learning and culturally responsive teaching, cultivating life-long learners who strive for positive change in the world.
