School Mental Health Centers - AISD offers school-based short-term therapy to students who are experiencing poor mental health. Referrals are made through the campus admin team or district support team. Parents or guardians must provide consent for services to take place.

Therapy is provided by AISD Licensed Mental Health Professionals. The Licensed Mental Health Professionals help students manage their mental health and coordinate with the student’s mental health providers for safety planning. They do not diagnose or treat mental illness.

The goal of AISD School Mental Health Centers is to offer a safe space for students as they work to improve their overall mental health and emotional wellness through counseling.
