Dual Language Application Process

Application Schedule for 2019-20 Dual Language Programs

  1. Applications online for elementary school dual language programs for the 2019-20 school year will be accepted starting January 7, 2019. Deadline for elementary school applications is January 31, 2019.
     
  2. Applications online for secondary school dual language programs for the 2019-20 school year will be accepted starting November 1, 2018. Deadline for middle and high school applications is February 15, 2019.

Instructions

Step One: Create a Parent Cloud Account

New Students

For parents registering students new to AISD, a Parent Cloud account must be created before you can access the Online Registration system. To create a Parent Cloud account, visit my.austinisd.org.

Returning Students

For parents registering students returning to AISD, a Parent Cloud account must be created before you can access the online registration system. To create a Parent Cloud account, visit my.austinisd.org.

Step Two: Find a School

Find your school assignment by residential address using the SARA Lookup system and refer to the instructions on the page. For transfer information, visit our transfer page.

Step Three: Register for AISD Online

New Students

Once your account is created and you have submitted documentation to your school, you can register online:

Note: Only Parent/Guardian contacts are able to use the online registration system. If you have any questions or need assistance with Parent Cloud or online registration, please contact your student’s campus or call Parent Technology Support at 512-414-9187.

Returning Students

Students who have previously attended an AISD school must be registered as a returning student. The returning student online registration process consists of the same process for new student registration. However, the returning student registration forms will have pre-populated information from the student’s current record. Some data (appears grayed out) will be view-only. You will have to visit the child’s campus in order to make changes to these fields.

Step Four: Apply for Dual Language in the Parent Cloud

Find dual language application in the Parent Cloud. At this time, only middle school dual language application is available in the Parent Cloud. Applications online for elementary school dual language programs for the 2019-20 school year will be begin starting January 7, 2019.

Step Five: Gather Documents

New Students

Parents registering students new to AISD will need to provide the following documentation at the child’s campus:

  • Child’s birth certificate
  • Child’s social security card (optional)
  • Child’s immunization records
  • Child’s withdrawal form/last report card (if applicable)
  • Parent/Guardian photo ID
  • Proof of guardianship (if applicable)
  • Proof of residency

Get information regarding the enrollment of students in foster care or under the guardianship of DFPS.

Returning Students

All returning students who have had a recent change of address must submit proof of residency to their campus for the 2018–19 school year. Please note that additional documentation may be requested by campus to complete enrollment.
