Overview

On Nov. 8, 2022, voters approved Austin ISD’s $2.44 billion bond. The bond included three propositions: Proposition A: General Purpose ($2,316,025,000); Proposition B: Technology ($75,541,000); Proposition C: Stadiums ($47,434,000). The 2022 Bond Program will fund capital projects, including upgrades to safety and security, repairing failing building systems, modernize 25 school facilities through full or phased renovations, technology upgrades and other improvements. These improvements will help the district save money on repairs and maintenance overtime, freeing up money that can be used to increase teacher pay.

Delco Activity Center Critical Repairs - Crawl Space

ORIGINAL SCOPE (was completed in previous project): Re-grade around building perimeter so water drains away from building. Raise area-way curb heights to prevent surface water infiltration into crawl space. REVISED SCOPE: Address water infiltration coming in at corner entry hollow metal storefront systems; install canopies at two entries; repair uneven grade between building slab and adjacent flatwork; replace unsafe concrete panel screening face with chain link fence.

Notes: Schedule has not been held by contractor/ Budget has been exceeded and steel work is suspended to keep us within construction bid, two canopies will be deferred to future project. Final concrete work 4/18/22. Door frames complete. Final cleaning will commence week of April 18.
