The LAAA is held annually to recognize our Latino students, grades 7-12, who excel in their academic work. 

This event recognizes Latino students and community members who have supported AISD’s students, schools or district programs and promoted the Latino culture.

 

La LAAA se lleva a cabo anualmente para reconocer a nuestros estudiantes latinos, de los grados 7 - 12, que sobresalen en su trabajo académico.

Este evento reconoce a los estudiantes latinos y a los miembros de la comunidad que han apoyado a los estudiantes, las escuelas o los programas del distrito de AISD y han promovido la cultura latina.

Student With A Graduation Goal 2019

All Austin ISD juniors and seniors are invited to SWAGG 2019!

The Student With A Graduation Goal—or SWAGG—initiative creates the opportunity for juniors and seniors to set realistic goals of graduation from high school and college.

Students, staff and families will be equipped with tools that will help students enter the best-fit college or career opportunity with success.

Breakout sessions include:

Austin ISD hosts Early College High School Open House Day at six campuses

Austin ISD students and parents will have the opportunity to learn about program offerings and receive up-to-date information about the district’s six Early College High Schools (ECHS) at Early College High School Open House Day. The ECHS program offers students the opportunity to graduate simultaneously with a high school diploma and an associate degree—with no cost for tuition, transportation or textbooks.

The program will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the following Early College High School campuses:

AISD to Celebrate National School Choice Week, Highlight Program Options

Austin ISD will celebrate National School Choice Week by highlighting the abundance of choices within the district, with a focus on Early College High School. National Choice Week is dedicated to raising public awareness of the options available to students. 

The district currently offers early college high school options at six campuses. The program allows students to earn up to 60 hours of college credit at no cost and the potential to graduate with both an associates degree from Austin Community College and a high school diploma.
