Austin ISD students and parents will have the opportunity to learn about program offerings and receive up-to-date information about the district’s six Early College High Schools (ECHS) at Early College High School Open House Day. The ECHS program offers students the opportunity to graduate simultaneously with a high school diploma and an associate degree—with no cost for tuition, transportation or textbooks.
The program will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the following Early College High School campuses:
- Crockett, 5601 Menchaca Road
- Eastside Memorial, 1012 Arthur Stiles Road
- Lanier, 1201 Payton Gin Road
- LBJ, 7309 Lazy Creek Drive
- Reagan, 7104 Berkman Drive
- Travis, 1211 E Oltorf Street
Each school will be open to the public for tours, demonstrations and access to staff and facilities. Families and prospective students will gain an understanding of campus life and the wealth of opportunities available in their community.
Families will learn about the unique opportunities available to students, including Career Launch, Career and Technical Education, dual language programs, fine arts, athletics and advanced academics.
Campuses look forward to welcoming visitors who want to learn what makes their school special.
About Early College High School program
ECHS is hosted through a partnership with Austin Community College and operates at six AISD Early College High Schools: Crockett, Eastside Memorial, Lanier, LBJ, Travis and Reagan.
In addition to earning college credit—up to 60 hours—and preparing for future professions, students save thousands of dollars in college costs. ECHS students are enrolled in both high school and college classes and receive support from AISD teachers and their ACC professors to ensure that they are on the right track to a successful college career.
