What to know about the Anita Ferrales Coy repurposing project (En español)
Let’s talk about the Anita Ferrales Coy repurposing project! First, let’s go over how we got to where we are now. The space was originally used as a junior high school in 1916 and was home to many schools throughout the years until 2013. After evaluating the options for the site, Austin ISD decided to relocate the Alternative Learning Center to the Coy site in August 2018.

Austin ISD Moves Forward with 1882 Partnership for Burnet, Dobie and Webb middle schools (en español)
The Austin ISD Board of Trustees has voted unanimously to move forward with a new partnership aimed at supporting Burnet, Dobie and Webb middle schools. The district will enter into a three-year partnership with the non-profit Texas Council for International Studies (TCIS) to help turn the three schools around and achieve acceptable accountability.
