Discipline Standards & Accountability
The Office of Student Discipline Standards and Accountability provides leadership, support, and resources to assist all Austin ISD campuses in having an orderly, safe, and conducive learning environment. We offer guidance to assist schools in preventing and addressing discipline matters, and our office works diligently to ensure that discipline concerns are addressed daily.
Reminder: Families Invited to Review Human Sexuality & Responsibility Lessons, Resources
Two days remain for Austin ISD families to review proposed new Human Sexuality & Responsibility lessons and resources, and to offer feedback. After completing the RFP (Request for Proposals) process to solicit vendors, AISD has proposed using the Get Real curriculum for grades 6–8, and staff has written the lessons for grades 3–5.
Austin ISD to Provide Summer Family Support
Austin ISD will be providing support to all district families through the Parent Support Specialists program during the summer, through July 31. Eighteen parent support specialists, three part-time family support coordinators and one social service specialist will be available to engage and support families. A detailed view of the district’s Prop A compensation plan is now available. Why it matters: We want our staff and voters to know exactly how Prop A dollars would be spent as they head to the polls.
