The Austin Independent School District's 2011 Winter Holiday schedule is as follows:The last day of class for AISD students is Tuesday, Dec.20.All schools and district offices will be closed beginning Thursday, Dec. 22, and reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012.Students return to school on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012.Emergencies should be reported to AISD Police at 414-1703.

Austin ISD will say thank you to its transportation employees during National School Bus Safety Week, October 17-21.
