Overview
International High School welcomes the world's students to Austin. New Texans from Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas begin their studies in a global community where every student is bilingual or multilingual.
IHS, which shares a campus with Northeast Early College High School, prepares students to transition to public education in the United States and sets them on a course for success. IHS offers tutoring and other programs to help students adapt to their new lives in America, while building the skills they need to succeed. Experienced ESL (English as a Second Language) educators help develop individual academic plans. IHS also offers extracurricular activities, which help build bonds among students.
After students complete their studies, International High School celebrates the accomplishment at a bridging ceremony, a high- energy festivity marking the transition to their home high schools.
International High School da la bienvenida a los estudiantes de todo el mundo a Austin. Los nuevos tejanos de África, Asia, Europa, Medio Oriente y América comienzan sus estudios en una comunidad global donde cada estudiante es bilingüe o multilingüe.
