About Our Schools


Overview

Located just a few blocks north of the University of Texas campus, Russell Lee Elementary School, a national Blue Ribbon School, opened in 1939 and maintains a multitude of longstanding traditions. At this neighborhood school, the basic curriculum is enriched by a focus on the arts and Social and Emotional Learning for all students. Students participate in Geography Day, science fair, Lee Olympics, music memory, art enrichment, Spanish and gardening. The school celebrates the diversity of its families, who have a variety of nationalities, ethnicities and languages.
