Security Access Badges
Austin ISD Police provides security access badges to district and relevant non-district employees. Employees must have an employee identification number or auxiliary number to receive an access badge, and all security badge requests for campus-based staff must be approved by the principal before they are processed. New badges are delivered to the campus via police courier.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Admins at your current campus do not need to take up your badge in this case. Your future worksite administrator can submit a request for you to have access to the new location, or you may forward your transfer letter to email@example.com and your request will be processed.
Once you have provided human resources with the correct information and the change has been updated, please see your campus bookkeeper to put in a badge request for you. Please note that your name must be updated before entering the request.
You may send your badge in to AISD Police or give your badge to your campus admin or direct supervisor.
Yes. You may send a picture to your admin for them to attach to your security access request in the database. The photo must be a regular head shot. Glamour shots will be denied, therefore delaying your request.
You may visit the Police Department at CAC. Please see our badge schedule above.
If your badge is undamaged and is still working on door access, please call the help desk at 512-414-8324 or submit an online request.
Badge access to a different worksite must be submitted by the department’s direct supervisor or the administrator from the future location.

You may request a sub pass from the office, and you will need to sign in and out.
Due to identification reasons, if your picture is more than five years old, we must have an updated photo.
If your badge stopped working, it may have had an expiration date. If you have an expiration date on the system, please have your AISD sponsor contact the help desk to update it.
It’s likely that a door panel at your school is not functioning. In this scenario, badges that were recently made will not function but older badges will. A work order must be submitted by the campus administrator to fix this but you can call 512-414-1162 so that the access control specialist can determine if this is the case.
Only supervisors and administrators (including clerks) from your current worksite are allowed to pick up your badge. They must present their current AISD badge to do so.
