2022 Naming
The Austin ISD Board of Trustees approved the naming of the Bowie Performing Arts Center the Diane "Betsy" Cornwell Performing Arts Center at its Jan. 27 Regular Voting meeting.
That same night, the board voted in favor of naming the Anderson High School baseball field the "Willie Wells Field.”
At their March 24 Regular Voting meeting, the board approved naming the library at Gullett Elementary the “Kay Gooch Library.”
Schools Renamed in 2020
The Austin ISD Board of Trustees at its May 18 Regular Voting Meeting approved the naming of the New Southwest Elementary School and the renaming of G.W. Norman Elementary School:

Schools Renamed in 2018
On Feb. 26, 2018, the Austin ISD Board of Trustees voted to move forward with the renaming process for five district sites—the John T. Allan Facility, Zachary Taylor Fulmore Middle School, Sidney Lanier Early College High School, John H. Reagan Early College High School and Eastside Memorial Early College High School at the Johnston Campus (Albert Sidney Johnston).
