- Austin ISD students identified as GT or Talent Explore will continue to receive these supports if they change schools within the district.
- Interdistrict GT Transfers are automatic.
Gifted and Talented Referral & Screening Process
GT Referral and Screening Process
All campuses in Austin ISD offer Gifted and Talented screening in grades K-12 based on referrals submitted through an online GT Referral Form. The GT Referral Form will be open from August 19 to October 17, 2025.

Austin ISD students will receive free meals all year no matter what their family income is.
Why it matters: Parents can skip packing a lunch and save money this year with free breakfast and lunch for every student.
Yes, but: Even though meals are free for everyone, campuses will still collect income verification for funding purposes.

Families may submit income verification during online enrollment, electronically on the AISD Cloud through the Parent Portal, or schools can provide a paper form.
