Gov. Rick Perry Declares Oct. 9 Human Resources Day

Everyday, working behind the scenes to serve AISD’s approximately 86,000 students and more than 11,000 staff members, is AISD’s human resources team.

The team works hard each day to ensure that our schools are staffed with high quality employees and that those employees have a good environment in which to work.

To celebrate their hard work, Gov. Rick Perry has proclaimed Oct. 9 as Texas Education Human Resources Day. The day is set aside to recognize and honor their contributions.

Feedback Solicited on New Graduation Program Requirements

This week, AISD middle and high school families will receive a letter from the district about the new graduation plan requirements that were passed by the 83rd Texas Legislature.

The new requirements will affect students entering the ninth grade during the 2014-2015 school year and all students entering high school thereafter. Parents are also receiving a survey that seeks to get feedback regarding specific graduation program requirements.
