Our hearts are heavy as we mourn with our neighbors in Hays CISD and everyone affected by the tragic bus accident in Bastrop County. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, in 2022, seven people were killed and 51 seriously injured in the 2,305 crashes involving a Texas school bus.
Economically Disadvantaged Austin ISD African American and Hispanic Third Graders Showing Growth in Math, New Test Shows (en Español)
Austin ISD African American and Hispanic third grade students identified as economically disadvantaged are on track to meet student growth targets in math by 2026. Achieving a similar goal in reading remains a work in progress, though, according to data from a new adaptive technology test.
