GenTX’s College Signing Day is Friday, May 1.

Austin ISD proudly supports Generation Texas, a statewide movement to ensure students have the information and inspiration they need to graduate—and achieve their highest potential.

Throughout the week, schools are celebrating college-bound seniors and making campuswide announcements about the importance of postsecondary education. Every student—from Pre-K through 12th grade—can benefit from Generation Texas celebrations and conversations.

AISD encourages campuses to:
• distribute the district’s college- and career-readiness information;
• encourage teachers and team members to share some of their most valuable educational experiences with students;
• invite students to visit the College and Career Center at area AISD high schools; and
• promote activities on Twitter using the #AISDProud and #GenTXDay hashtags.

By fostering a college-going culture, AISD stands with and supports our partners at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to close the achievement gaps throughout the state.
