We are excited for the Austin community to get to know Dr. Elizalde and learn about her vision for our district. Board considers tax rate election to raise funds for teacher and staff raises (En español)
A VATRE would ask the community to consider approving a tax rate that would allow Austin ISD to gain an estimated $44M in funding annually. Why it matters: Those additional funds would help Austin ISD continue to recruit and retain highly-qualified teachers and staff by funding pay increases.

2023 State Accountability results slated for release next week (En español)
After two years of lawsuits holding up state accountability results, the courts have dismissed the latest effort to block 2023 A-F ratings statewide. The decision allows campus-based grades districtwide to become public for the first time since 2019. As of today, ratings for 2024 have not been released by the courts.

Student-Athletes Stand up to Domestic, Dating Violence
Austin ISD Athletics has been doing its part to promote safe and healthy relationships during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.In partnership with the Travis County Sheriff's Office, Texas Advocacy Project and SAFE, student-athletes have been wearing purple ribbons in October to encourage others to stand up against dating and domestic violence.
