Overview
Clayton Elementary is located in the Circle C neighborhood of Southwest Austin. The school is named after Nan Clayton, a community leader and former Austin ISD board president. Clayton strives to provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment to encourage teamwork, cooperation, and an appreciation of diversity. Clayton believes literacy, independent thinking, and problem solving are all essential building blocks to becoming responsible individuals. Clayton also proudly sponsors after-school clubs and special activities throughout the school year. During the school year, Clayton students run a full marathon - 26.2 miles - through Marathon Kids.
