In April 2023, the Austin Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the formation of the Austin ISD Public Facility Corporation (PFC). Austin ISD values the participation and input of all community members and transparency of information and process. The Board of Trustees are seeking applications from qualified individuals in order to appoint two (2) individuals to serve alongside three (3) Board Trustees on the PFC Board of Directors.

The 2023 accountability results from the Texas Education Agency are now public, and they show some drastic changes from the last time results were released districtwide. These results reflect a new test and a new yardstick — one that makes it much harder to get an A and much easier to get an F.
