Economically Disadvantaged Austin ISD African American and Hispanic Third Graders Showing Growth in Math, New Test Shows (en Español)

Austin ISD African American and Hispanic third grade students identified as economically disadvantaged are on track to meet student growth targets in math by 2026. Achieving a similar goal in reading remains a work in progress, though, according to data from a new adaptive technology test.

Community Retreat: Eliminating Racial Disparities in Discipline and Punishment

The Community Retreat will host staff and community members to maintain the work of eliminating racial disparities in discipline and punishment to foster a more responsive, inclusive learning environment for our students.


This year we will focus on using discipline data to inform our workgroup goals and metrics.


In order to sustain the work, we will continue with the theme from the Community Appreciation Mixer: Growing for Change.
