Austin ISD Going Mask Optional Starting Saturday

Per the Governor’s order, starting Saturday, June 5, masks and temperature checks will no longer be required to enter Austin ISD schools and facilities. If you have not been vaccinated, we strongly encourage you to wear a mask for your own protection as the CDC continues to recommend. Also, we will no longer require temperature checks. Students and visitors are still required to complete the COVID-19 screener in the mobile app. Everyone is encouraged to screen before leaving home and to stay home if they have any COVID-19-related symptoms.

Austin ISD Celebrates Pride Month with Flag Raising

The Austin ISD community gathered Friday to raise the Pride flag at the district’s Central Office. The ceremony celebrated the start of Pride Month and was a physical symbol of the district’s efforts to support all students, staff and community members.

Austin ISD staff and community members, including the Austin ISD Police Department officers, gathered by the front entrance of the district’s Central Office building to celebrate Pride month and cheer as the flag was raised. 

Austin ISD Advisory Body ESSER III Funds Information Session

Austin ISD is eligible for $155 million in one-time federal funding. These funds will help the district address needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Members of Austin ISD’s standing Advisory Bodies are invited to this short information session to learn more about ESSER III funds and how to provide input about the most meaningful ways to use them to address student needs.
