For the sixth time in its history, and third consecutive year, AISD.TV is once again the winner in the Hometown Media Awards for Overall Excellence in Educational Access.
AISD.TV, the official streaming channel of Austin ISD, received a 2020 Hometown Media Award from the Alliance for Community Media Foundation. The awards program was established to honor and promote community media and local cable programs that are distributed on Public, Educational and Governmental access cable television channels.

Thank you for your patience as we work on plans for the upcoming school year. I’m writing to bring you up to speed on what we have been working on to support our 81,000 students and 12,000 staff members.
When will school start?
We’re opening a door for Austin ISD parents and caregivers to start a conversation about race in our community.
We’re calling it RaceTalks, and it will begin with a 90-minute conversation on Juneteenth, June 19. We will gather each month for a conversation, with a different focus each time.
Spanish interpretation will be provided.

The Travis Early College High School community, staff, families and friends joined together June 16 to celebrate the 2020 graduating class through a virtual ceremony.
Superintendent Paul Cruz congratulated the graduates of this year's class via a video statement. His remarks were followed by a speech from Principal Christina Steele Hantgin.
