The Board of Trustees appoints individuals to the CBOC to ensure that bond projects remain faithful to the scope of work approved by Austin voters.

All bond projects will be overseen by the CBOC.

Govalle Roadrunners Break Ground on Their $32.5 Million School Site

Govalle Elementary School celebrated the beginning of its journey toward a modernized building with a groundbreaking Tuesday, September 25.

A few of the Govalle Junior Counselors expressed their opinions of the new school, among them fifth-grader Anthony Soto.

Soto will move on to sixth grade next year but said "I'm excited about the new library and classrooms for my sister!"

During the ceremony Govalle alumni announced that a time capsule with mementos and poems would be unearthed and opened in 2031, the year of Govalle Elementary's 100th anniversary.

Systemwide Testing

Systemwide Testing coordinates the administration and processing of state and federally-mandated assessments, provides training and support for site test coordinators and principals, and ensures that appropriate test administration and security procedures are followed at all testing sites.  The department also provides guidance on changes to the state assessment program and coordinates online testing.

Accountability and Assessment

The Office of Accountability and Assessment is responsible for the collection, validation and reporting of all assessment, student, staff and financial data. The office includes the following areas: 

  • Systemwide Testing coordinates the security, administration and processing of state and federally-mandated assessments.
  • The Department of Campus & District Accountability (CDA) develops innovative assessments, reports, and data analysis tools that support continuous school improvement and increased student achievement. Our work is responsive to and reflective of ongoing changes to the state accountability system, as well as to the needs of campus and district leaders.
