AISD Seeks Media Assistance in Locating Missing Child

Austin ISD seeks media assistance in locating a missing child. Police are searching for a missing child from Oak Hill Elementary School.
 
The case involves an alleged abduction by a family member. Austin ISD Police Department is working the investigation.

Austin ISD’s AVID, in collaboration with St. Edward’s University, hosts the first AVID College Readiness Symposium.

AISD high school AVID students and their families will participate in college preparatory breakout sessions.

The event is free and open to Austin ISD’s high school AVID students and their families.

Maroon & White Night Showcase 2017

Eighth-grade students and families: Plan to attend the highly engaging Maroon & White Showcase Night!

This one-of-a kind event will allow future Maroons to explore all the programs that Austin High has to offer.

Tour the Culinary Arts kitchen, the KAHS film studio or learn more about the exciting opportunities in Project Lead the Way. Visit with teachers and students about our academies.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 29 in the Austin High Performing Arts Center, with a special performance featuring the many award-winning arts programs at Austin High.

Families will then have time to visit with teachers and students representing all aspects of Austin High academics, electives, sports and clubs. Mark your calendars for this exciting night!

Third Annual Ladies of Distinction Young Women’s Conference

The Third Annual Ladies of Distinction Young Women's Conference theme for this year is "Not Your Average Young Lady."

The conference is focused on building character and self-confidence in young women between the ages of 12 and 18.

Students in grades 8–12 are welcome to register for this free event.

Please join us for breakout sessions that aim to inspire our students and prepare them to change their lives and community for the better.

The conference is 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at the Austin ISD Performing Arts Center, 1500 Barbara Jordan Blvd.
