A Sweet Celebration: AISD Schools Hold Peace Through PIE Events

Some Austin ISDschools are holding Peace Through PIE—which stands for Peace Includes Everyone—events during January to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr.

Austin-based nonprofit Peace Through PIE encourages community partners to hold community-building pie socials to promote peace.

“Now more than ever, we need creative ways to come to the table, build new relationships and learn how to see ourselves in each other to grow stronger together,” said Peace Through PIE founder Luanne Stovall.
