Community Invited to Holiday Luncheon at the Allan Early Childhood Center

Austin Voice for Education is hosting a holiday luncheon and open house 12:30–2 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Allan Early Childhood Center.

The event will feature free lunch, children’s activities and crafts, and tours of the center.

Guests can also learn about early childhood, adult and parent programs.

Lunch will be served in the cafeteria at the center, 4900 Gonzales St.

TEDxYouth Forum

TEDxYouth@Austin is an annual forum created to bring high school and middle school students from the central Texas area into the TEDx movement.  With engaging stories, inspiring performances, and intriguing presentations, we will explore the theme of (in)visible.

The event will take place at the Westlake Performing Arts Center is located at 4100 Westbank Dr, Austin 78746.

AISDTV Channel 22 to Feature Board of Trustees Runoff Election Results

On Dec. 16, runoff election day, AISDTV Channel 22 will be a source for the latest results of the AISD board election.

The full board consists of nine members. Voters will elect Trustee Single Member Positions 1 and 6 as well as the At-Large Position 9. 

What: Presentation of the AISD Board of Trustees candidates can be viewed on AISDTV Channel 22.

When: Candidate presentations will air from 8 a.m.-7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16; results will air that evening.

Superintendent Search Community Forum / Foro Público para la Búsqueda de Superintendente

Please join the Austin ISD Board of Trustees for a superintendent search community forum at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Lanier High School theater, 1201 Payton Gin Road.

AISD Holds Public Forum with Paul Cruz Saturday

The remaining candidate for the position of AISD Superintendent will be presented to the community in a public forum at Lanier High School. 

Who: AISD Board of Trustees, Interim Superintendent Paul Cruz

What: The community will have the opportunity to speak with Dr. Cruz, talk about district issues and how he would address them, and ask questions.
