All AISD offices and schools will be closed during this period. The district will resume regular business hours Tuesday, May 28.

Austin, Texas—Austin ISD employees will put it all on the line during a first district-wide fitness challenge June 1, which will test participants mentally and physically while promoting healthy living.

The district is teaming up with local wellness vendor XFIT2YOU to host the AISD Games, a voluntary fitness challenge designed to find the fittest person in AISD. 

Earlier this week, the Austin Independent School District announced its Teacher of the Year and Principal of Year winners, among others, during Salute, an annual event hosted by AISD and Austin Partners In Education to celebrate district employees.

The event, held at the Long Center for the Performing Arts, brought together AISD employees, families and community members to recognize some of AISD's most outstanding staff members.
