Request Employment Forms

Current and Former employees may now request service records and other forms, such as Public Student Loan Forgiveness forms, through the AISD website at https://www.austinisd.org/hc/service-records-request. Please allow 30 days for processing of service records.

In an effort to provide a more efficient system for employment or income verification, Austin ISD now uses Experian (formerly known as uConfirm). This process provides instant, automated employment and income verification for Austin ISD staff. Whether it’s for refinancing a mortgage, renting an apartment, buying a car, or applying for a VISA, Experian provides quick and accurate verification at no cost to the employee.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the process to submit a resignation or retirement?

  • Visit the AISD Portal at https://portal.austinisd.org and log in with your Username and Password.
  • In the Search bar at the top of the screen, type "AISD Staff", and select the AISD Staff Application (not Staff Documents.)
  • Choose Resign/Retire from Employment from the Main Menu.
  • Completely fill out the form, enter your User Name and Password and select Submit
  • Complete the AISD Exit Survey

 

How many paychecks will I get once I submit my resignation/retirement?

  • If you resign and finish out your contract/work calendar, you will receive a check in June and a check in July.  

  • If you retire and finish out your contract/work calendar, you will receive two checks in June – one for June and one for July. 

 

How do Benefits work once I resign/retire?

Below is important information regarding benefits coverage for employees who are planning on resigning or retiring from Austin ISD on or after May 26, 2023.

  • If you notify Human Capital of your resignation or retirement by May 12, 2023 your benefit coverage will be automatically extended through August 31, 2023. 

    • Monthly employees with this extended benefit coverage will have a triple deduction taken from their June 29 paycheck to cover the additional months. 

    • If you wish to end your benefit coverage prior to August 31, 2023 you must notify the Benefits Office in writing no later than May 12, 2023. Notification can be made via email to benefits@austinisd.org or you can respond to the follow-up benefits survey that will be sent to your AISD email once your resignation has been processed by Human Capital.

  • If you submit your resignation or retirement notice after May 12, 2023 employee benefit coverage will end the month of your last regular paycheck.

  • If you submit your resignation or retirement, all Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) will end on May 31, 2023.

  • Twelve-month, Biweekly employees (Service Center/Warehouse/Custodial Staff) who plan to resign or retire must contact the Benefits Office by May 1, 2023 to ensure arrangements for summer premium deductions are made.
