Private Nonprofit Schools Equitable Services
Federal grant funding is made available each year to serve students who meet certain criteria, such as students from low-income families. Those grant funds are awarded to the state education agency (TEA). TEA then allocates funds directly to the school districts. “Private school equitable services” refers to the process of providing students, teachers, staff, and families at eligible private schools, fair access to federally funded education programs and services, as appropriate.

Private Non-Profit Equitable Services and Consultation
The 2026-2027 initial consultation period opens Friday, May 8, 2026 and concludes Thursday, June 18, 2026.
Austin ISD invites private non-profit (PNP) schools to attend the annual spring consultation meeting. Learn about the end-of-school-year processes for those who participated in the 2025-26 equitable services program & preview the system improvements and timeline for the 2026-27 equitable services program.
Who: Leaders of Private Non-Profit Schools with 501(c)(3) status who currently participate in – or may be interested in participating - the equitable services programs offered by Austin ISD.
When: Two repeat sessions will be offered virtually; upon receipt of RSVP, the meeting link will be emailed to the PNP leader
