AISD Hosts First District-Wide Employee Health Fair
Austin ISD employees and their families are invited to attend the district’s first Employee Health Fair on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Crockett High School, 5601 Manchaca Road.The fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will provide employees with the opportunity to meet with wellness vendors, enjoy activities, attend mini health seminars and win door prizes.
AISD Delays School Start Times and the Running of Buses Tomorrow Due to Weather
AUSTIN, Texas—The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Austin area until noon tomorrow. Out of an abundance of caution, Austin will open schools and run district buses on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 28.
AISD Receives $3.5 Million Education Innovation and Research Grant From U.S. Department of Education
Austin ISD was named one of nine national recipients of a more than $3.5 million Education Innovation and Research (EIR) Early-Phase Grant from the U.S. Department of Education. The EIR grant program funds projects that develop and implement evidence-based innovations to improve student achievement for high-need students and evaluate those innovations.
