T.A. Brown Elementary School Awarded Prestigious LEED Green Building Certification
An Austin ISD school received top recognition for its design and construction that emphasized sustainability and environmental responsibility. On May 6, the U.S. Green Building Council announced that it has awarded T.A. Brown Elementary School the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification.

(El español está disponible abajo) Beginning July 22, families will receive free produce boxes at AISD curbside meal sites. The boxes will feature locally grown produce, such as peppers, melons, squash, carrots and other seasonal staples. The Common Market Texas, a mission-driven distributor of sustainable, local farm foods will prepare and deliver the produce boxes to AISD.

When Spotify says, “Music for everyone,” it’s especially true at Kealing Middle School. The school was gifted a recording studio built from materials that came from Spotify House, a live music venue built annually at SXSW.Spotify, DPR Construction, MINDPOP, Rebuilding Together Austin and Acoustic Spaces partnered together during Spring Break to build three mixing and mastering recording studios.
