Austin's Girls Empowerment Network (GENaustin) will hold a youth conference for girls in grades 5-12 on Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Austin High School (1715 W. Cesar Chavez). This event is also open to parents, and will be a place that two generations can share a day of learning in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
Fitness Wins at Barton Hills Elementary
Barton Hills Elementary is one of only 525 schools in the nation to win the Let’s Move! Active Schools National Award for creating a physically active school environment. Let’s Move!
