We understand that some families may be having a hard time getting the food they need right now. Austin ISD is here to support students every school day with breakfast and lunch, plus afterschool meals at many campuses.
AISD to Provide Free Meals for All Students at 76 Schools (En español)
For the 2025–26 school year, Austin ISD will offer free breakfast and lunch to all students at 76 campuses through the federally funded Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program (schools are listed below). The CEP is a federal meal service option that allows schools in qualifying low-income areas to serve free meals to all enrolled students, no applications or documentation required.
Austin ISD to provide free, healthy meals for kids this summer (En español)
This summer, Austin ISD is helping local families keep their kids healthy and energized by offering free summer meals at more than 30 schools. The details: All children 18 and under — plus enrolled students with disabilities up to age 21 — are eligible to receive nutritious breakfasts and lunches at no cost.
Meal Programs
AISD provides breakfast and lunch daily at all schools, as well as after-school and summer meals at many eligible campuses. AISD provides free breakfast and lunch for all students at many schools through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. Students at schools not eligible for the CEP program dine at school using their meal status–free, reduced-price, or paid.

View 2025 Summer Meal Sites Children need nutritious meals to learn, grow, and thrive—even when school is out. Thanks to federally funded Texas Department of Agriculture meal programs, we provide free breakfast and lunch for students at many schools throughout the summer.
