TAKS Retesting Available In October To Out-Of-School Students
Austin, TX—Texas Assessment of Knowledge & Skills (TAKS) retesters, or students who still need to pass a portion of the Exit Level TAKS tests to earn a high school diploma, may register to participate in the October administration of the TAKS Test being held at campuses throughout the Austin Independent School District (AISD) from Oct. 18 to Oct. 21.

AUSTIN, Texas—Jeanie Tuttle, a librarian at Clayton Elementary School, will star as Mother Ginger in Ballet Austin’s opening night performance of “The Nutcracker” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec 7, at the Long Center for the Performing Arts, 701 W. AISD Board Seeks Applicants for District 7 Trustee
Austin ISD Board of Trustees is accepting application to fill the vacant District 7 seat.The passing of Trustee Robert Schneider in July created an open seat on the board. Trustees were facing an Aug. 11 deadline to notify Travis County if they planned to hold a special election.The board voted Aug. 25 on the process for appointing a new District 7 trustee.
