Superintendent Embarks on First-Day Tour
To celebrate the first day of school, AISD Superintendent Dr. Stephanie S. Elizalde went on a tour of campuses both virtually and in person, introducing herself to students and their teachers as they begin their new school year. The visit allows students and their teachers to meet their superintendent, ask questions, explore classrooms and see outdoor learning spaces.

AISD’s Blaine Helwig Earns Top Award from U.S. Department of Education
The U.S. Department of Education has recognized Blaine Helwig, principal at Graham Elementary School, with the esteemed Terrel H. Bell Award for Outstanding Leadership.Helwig is among seven principals in the United States to earn the department’s top awards for administrators this year.
Online Student Registration Now Open
Beginning April 6, parents will be able to register students online through the Parent Cloud.Parents can already check students’ grades, schedules, attendance and vaccinations with a few clicks. This most recent update to the cloud will allow families to more easily register their student for classes.
2022 Bond: Community Conversations
The Austin ISD Board of Trustees have called for a $2.44 billion bond package for the Nov. 8, 2022 general election. If approved by voters, the 2022 Bond would fund improvements across the district so that every campus benefits.
