Dear Austin ISD Community,
Addressing the challenges around Special Education and the backlog in student evaluations is a shared priority for me and the Board. We have a great team, and everyone has special education as a top priority. This is the first of periodic updates that I will be providing during my tenure.
This is a regular meeting of the Oak Hill Elementary Campus Architectural Team (CAT). This meeting is open to the public. Up to five minutes of public comment will be allowed per meeting with a limit of one minute per speaker.

Beginning in July 2023, all employees in all departments and at all campuses—full-time, part-time and substitutes—will get paid twice per month.
Employees will receive their paychecks on the 15th and the last business day of each month, which is 24 paychecks per school year for everyone. If either the 15th or the last business day of the month falls on a weekend or bank holiday, the pay date will be on the preceding business day.
This does not affect anyone’s annual pay.
Join us for this year's annual All-City Jazz Band Concert, featuring Don Braden and Austin ISD students from the Middle School and High School jazz bands. The event begins at 6:30 p.m., April 27 at the Austin ISD Performing Arts Center. Free and open to the public!
The Austin ISD Gonzalo Garza Latino Lifetime Achievement Award is presented sparingly and after much consideration to a person (living or deceased) who has made significant contributions over the years to the education and development of Austin ISD students, with special attention to contributions made to Latino students and/or their families.
