Regular meetings of the Long-range Planning Committees are open to the public. Meetings are held jointly and planning committees convene separately in breakout groups. Public comments are heard at the beginning of each regular meeting.

A new report shows that the more we get tested for COVID-19, the more we keep it out of classrooms.

“Face masks and proactive testing are projected to substantially mitigate spread,” says the report from the UT Austin Modeling Consortium.
Why it matters: Testing allows us to find asymptomatic students or staff who may be spreading the virus without knowing it — it’s a big part of our approach to keeping schools safe.
