Austin ISD will host Conversations with the District, a series of community conversations as an opportunity to learn about the AISD 2020-25 Strategic Plan and the 2021-22 budget process with the district’s leadership team.
The Austin Independent School District will recognize César Chávez-Dolores Huerta Day on Wednesday, March 31. The Hispanic civil rights leaders formed the United Farm Workers Union in the 1960s to protest the poor treatment of laborers.
The district will honor their lives and legacies by engaging students and staff in lessons focusing on both Chávez and Huerta and through messages shared on morning announcements and social media.
The annual AISD Earth Week celebration is April 19-23, with Earth Day on April 22. We hope that every student will take a moment to think about how they can make the earth and our community a better place and perform an action to do so. Learn more on our Earth Week website.

Austin ISD is calling on the community to join Operation Reconnect, an event that includes a door-to-door campaign to reconnect Austin families with AISD program offerings.
The event is on Saturday, April 10 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Austin Ed Fund is hosting an event open to the community on Monday, May 10 at 4:30 pm featuring Dr. Bruce Perry. Dr. Perry is a brain expert specializing in how children are impacted by trauma and will speak to the impact of the events of the last year and the importance of community healing.
