Partnership That Helps Families and Restaurants to Continue Through December
A partnership that helps feed Austin ISD caregivers and support local restaurants will continue through December after the city of Austin voted to extend funding for the Caregiver Meal program.
The Caregiver Meal program was made possible by the Austin Ed Fund’s AISD Crisis Support Fund, which received an additional $1.5 million dollars.

HopeFest 2020 to Offer Flu Vaccines and Fun
To increase access to the flu vaccine this year, Austin Voices for Education and Youth in association with Austin ISD is hosting HopeFest this Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Northeast Early College High School (7104 Berkman Drive Austin, 78752).
HopeFest is a resource fair where families are able to get free drive-thru flu shots quickly and easily. HopeFest will also provide free COVID-19 tests, food, books, crafts, live music and a zoo.
Austin ISD Pride Week/Semana del Orgullo del Austin ISD
This year, due to changes in the school calendar, the AISD Pride Week planning committee has received approval to move this weeklong event from the fall semester to April 19-24, 2021. This will give the committee time to plan a comprehensive event that celebrates our LGBTQIA+ community and includes a possible in-person Saturday event at the Austin ISD Performing Arts Center on Sat., April 24, depending on up-to-date COVID-19 guidelines.

Because #AttendanceMatters you are invited to join Austin ISD in knocking out the flu! Nurses from Health Heroes will be on the following campuses administering free influenza vaccines to students. Complete your child’s consent form today and help us #KnockOutFlu.

Election Day 2020 in the United States is Tuesday, Nov. 3. District campuses have traditionally been used as polling sites on this day and this year AISD is keeping that tradition. / El martes, 3 de noviembre es el Día de las Elecciones en los Estados Unidos. Las escuelas del distrito se han utilizado tradicionalmente como centros de votación en este día y este año el AISD continuará con esa tradición.
