Will Austin ISD be providing transportation when face-to-face learning resumes?

Engagement opportunities with Dr. Elizalde / Oportunidades para conocer a la Dra. Elizalde

Last week, the Austin ISD Board of Trustees named Stephanie Elizalde the lone finalist for Superintendent of AISD. We are excited for the Austin community to get to know Dr. Elizalde and learn about her vision for our district. Next week the district will provide a variety of opportunities for Dr. Elizalde to share more about herself and hear from our Austin community.

Child Care Program

The child care programs provide full day care for infants and toddlers of AISD staff and families at many campuses. The programs prioritize AISD staff for enrollment and when space is available the care is offered to other families in the community. Many of the programs offer reduced tuition fees for eligible families.

Each program has different hours and tuition fees, please contact the programs directly for up-to-date information and guidance for the enrollment process.

  • We are ordering 55,000 desk shields to protect students when they take off their masks to eat.
  • Schools may allow meals to be consumed outdoors after they have been delivered to the classroom, however, we understand that this is not feasible for every school and classroom, therefore, this will be a campus-based decision.
