Ninety-one Ann Richards Stars crossed the stage this morning at the Erwin Center in the district's second graduation of the season.
Superintendent Paul Cruz congratulated the students on their years of hard work and accomplishments.
Ten students completed their time at Rosedale School this afternoon in what Principal Elizabeth Dickey called “AISD’s first and best graduation.”
Dickey welcomed family, friends and teachers to the packed cafeteria for the ceremony at Rosedale, and shared details about each student’s achievements and favorite activities.
About graduate Leonardo Perez Suarez, Dickey said, “The one word that best describes Leo is, ‘feisty.’ Leo has a tendency to demand attention from those he loves. Everyone on this campus has a story about how he has made them laugh.”
Community members gathered to celebrate the new milestone in the school's modernization project with a student parade from Sims Elementary to Norman and a groundbreaking ceremony at the Norman campus.

The last day of school is this Friday, May 24 for all Austin ISD schools, and beginning Monday, June 3 through Friday, August 9, Austin ISD operates on a summer efficiency schedule.
All administration offices adopt a four-day week during this time. Business hours will be 7 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Thursday.
