2011 Redistricting

Dear AISD Residents,

The release of the 2010 census data earlier this spring requires the Austin Independent School District to determine whether it is necessary to "redistrict" each of the trustee districts to ensure that they contain substantially equal population.

Finance Reports for Former Trustees

In accordance with Chapter 254 of the Election Code, listed below are campaign finance reports filed by former members of the Board of Trustees with the Austin Independent School District. These reports were filed pursuant to campaign finance law in Title 15 of the Texas Election Code, which regulates the acceptance of, expenditure of, and reports regarding money in political campaigns by candidates, officeholders, and political committees.

The City of Austin Economic Development Department is hosting a Public Open House and Community Video Presentation for the Colony Park Sustainable Community from 6:30–8 p.m. at Turner-Roberts Recreation Center, 7201 Colony Loop Drive.

This is a family fun event featuring an exclusive screening of the shortlisted Master Developer's video presentation for the 208-acres of publicly owned land in Colony Park.

AISD.TV Earns Pair of National Awards

AISD.TV has earned a pair of distinguished national awards from the Alliance for Community Media organization.

Austin ISD’s television station is the winner of the Hometown Media Awards Overall Excellence in Educational Access.

The award specifically recognizes national educational broadcasting entities with budgets of $300,000-$650,000. This is the third time AISD.TV has been earned this distinction.

School Makeover: IBM, Community Partners to Beautify Oak Springs Elementary School

IBM and other community partners are helping Oak Springs Elementary School get a makeover with a daylong beautifying project.

What: IBM volunteers will be visiting Oak Springs Elementary school to complete various murals and painting for use in the outdoor classroom. Communities In Schools will help student participation in the project, such as obtaining student design ideas and painting.
