Austin ISD Summer Efficiency Shutdown Underway

Austin ISD is currently operating on a summer efficiency schedule, during which all schools and offices adopt a four-day week. Business hours are 7 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday–Thursday. All district and campus offices are closed on Fridays.

The district also is closed for one week, from July 3–7. All AISD offices and schools will be closed during this period.

AISD's regular, five-day work week will resume Monday, Aug. 14. Classes for the 2017–18 school year will begin Monday, Aug. 21.

MEDIA ADVISORY: Board of Trustees, Superintendent Announce $1.05 Billion Bond Election

The Austin ISD Board of Trustees, Superintendent Dr. Paul Cruz and community members will visit Menchaca Elementary School to officially announce the $1.05 billion bond election.

The bond election, if approved, would bring 21st century learning spaces to the district with no tax rate increase. The bond would also modernize or build 16 schools, including Menchaca. Additionally, all AISD schools would receive a portion of the bond funds if passed.

Back-to-School Night–Middle School

Austin ISD welcomes all middle school students and their families to back-to-school night! Back-to-school night is a chance for students to take a look around their new campus, meet teachers and principals, and much more.
